Suspect flees with money after Burger King robbery

NILES - Michigan State Police are currently investigating an armed robbery which occurred at the Burger King at 2701 S. 11th St.
The robbery occurred early Sunday morning at approximately 2:50 a.m. The suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
A spokesperson for Burger King said two employees were in the store at the time of the robbery, but both were unharmed.
The Burger King has been robbed before, but the spokesperson was unable to give any dates.
On Oct. 7, around 2:40 p.m., Niles City Police responded to call of a bicycle stolen from the yard of a house on the 400 block of Pokagon Street. The owners of the house stated the black 26-inch, 15-speed Huffy bicycle was stolen between 2 and 3 p.m.
There were no witnesses and police have no suspects. This was the second bicycle stolen from the residence, according to the police report.
On Oct. 7, at 2:39 a.m., Niles City Police arrested Daniel Steven White. 23, 1680 Burton Road, pending charges of operating under the influence of alcohol. White was arrested after a traffic stop conducted on East Main Street near Broadway Avenue. White was booked and lodged at the Niles Law Enforcement Complex after a seven hour hold.
