Seventh grade “A” team receives tough test from Harbor

The Central Middle School seventh grade "A" team received its first test of the season against host Benton Harbor Fairplain.
The Chieftains passed their test with a 33-32 victory.
Torie Lowe led all scorers with 26 points.
Marcie Ennesser scored four points, while Kelsey Foote added two points. Joanna Pickar tossed in a free throw.
The seventh grade "B" team also was defeated in a close contest, falling to Fairplain, 30-20.
Yasmine Chambliss led Dowagiac with 14 points. Leana Allen added 10 points, while Keri Winters tallied four points.
Morgan Tanzillo chipped in with two points for the Chieftains.
The seventh grade returns to action on Thursday when it faces Fairplain again, this time at home.
Eighth grade results against Fairplain were unavailable at press time.
