Niles JV losses, freshman win big

Niles' junior varsity football team lost 42-28 at Benton Harbor on Thursday. The Tigers scored on the first play of the game, and the Vikings were forced to play catch-up for the rest of the night. Niles scored all of its points in the second half. JV head coach Steve Grayson said the team was led defensively by Jonathan Rothfuchs. The Vikings are now 1-5 on the season.
Niles' freshmen team scored another big win Thursday, a 53-0 victory over the Tigers. Ben Brandstatter scored four touchdowns and Josh Beers had two for the Vikings. Also scoring were Adarian Haynes, Camaron Pearison and Alex White. The freshmen at 6-0.
