Buchanan's tennis team's final test before Friday's Lakeland Conference championship match turned out to be not much of a test at all.
The Bucks swept Coloma with ease at home on Friday, winning three of the six sets in 6-0, 6-0 shutouts. The two teams played only six sets because the Comets didn't have a No. 4 singles or a No. 4 doubles team.
Wednesday's match was a make up of a match originally scheduled for Aug. 30. It should have been Buchana's second match of the week, but its contest at Schoolcraft on Monday was canceled due to rain.
Buchanan is the host school for the conference tournament, but it will be played at Leeper Park in South Bend, Ind.
Bucks head coach Cuppy Mace said she's excited for the tournament and knows who the toughest opponent will be.
Buchanan beat the Bobcats 6-2 a week ago, with its only losses coming at No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles.
