Though it took all season, Brandywine boys soccer coach Jim Marazita said his team was finally hitting on all cylinders Wednesday night.
The team's all-around effort produced what Marazita called its best game of the year, a 3-0 victory over Lake Michigan Catholic at home.
All year, the coach has stressed passing and ball-movement to the Bobcats. He said his team has continued to improve and showed it with the three goals Wednesday night.
Matt Duckett had two goals for Brandywine. The other was scored by Josh Schlutt. Matt Beaver assisted on two of the goals. D.J. Elrod had the third assist of the game.
Not only was Marazita pleased with the offensive effort, but he was proud of his team's defense as well.
He gave credit to sweeper Kyle Perry for playing a flawless game and holding Lake Michigan Catholic's attack in check. Marazita said the entire Bobcat team kept LMC from getting any good looks at the goal all night.
Brandywine's next match is at 5 p.m. Monday at Edwardsburg.
