Brandywine uses doubles to beat Dowagiac

In a battle of Division 4 regional contenders it was visiting Brandywine with the upper hand over Dowagiac on a chilly Tuesday afternoon.
Dowagiac wrapped up its regular season Tuesday afternoon by hosting Brandywine in a non-confrence match up.
The Bobcats swept the doubles competition and picked up a victory at No. 3 singles for a 5-3 win over the Chieftains.
The two teams will meet again a week from Thursday when they compete in the Division 4 regional tournament hosted by Buchanan at Leeper Park in South Bend, Ind.
Dowagiac (1-4-5) played in its second match in as many days, while the Bobcats (11-1) were well rested heading into the competition.
Despite having played the previous day, the Chieftains' performed well, especially in doubles.
Brandywine heads to Eau Claire today for a 4:30 p.m. match.
Dowagiac's junior varsity will host Cassopolis today at 4 p.m. in their final match of the season.
