Bucks finish fourth at Lakeland jamboree

Edwardsburg won the Lakeland Conference jamboree Monday held at Diamond Lake in Cassopolis.
While the Eddies took the victory, it was a close match. The top four teams were separated by four strokes. The entire field of eight was only apart by 20 strokes.
Coloma finished second with a 163, two strokes behind Edwardsburg's 161. Buchanan took third at 165, followed by Cass at 167.
Brandywine came in eighth place at 181.
Nathan Layher led the Bucks at the jamboree by shooting a 37. Matt Adams followed with a 40. Andrew Colip shot a 43 for Buchanan, Brian Lembke shot a 45, Jeremy Bachman shot a 47 and Scott Lolmaugh shot a 52.
With the victory, the Eddies got closer to first-place Coloma in the conference standings. Coloma holds a three-point edge over Edwardsburg at 38-35. Buchanan is in a distant third place with 26 points.
