Howard Express Mart robbed

CASSOPOLIS - Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports his office is investigating an armed robbery of the Phillips 66 Express Mart on M-60 in Howard Township at 7:15 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 19.
The suspect, a white male, entered the station shortly after opening and displayed a handgun to the cashier.
He demanded money from the register and is believed to have fled the scene on foot.
The cashier was not injured in the incident.
The suspect was described as 160 to 170 pounds, wearing blue jeans and a Notre Dame hooded sweatshirt. His face was partially covered as well.

This incident remains under investigation.
