Seventh grade “A” team beat St. Joe, 42-7

The Central Middle School seventh grade "A" girls' basketball team defeated St. Joe Upton on Thursday, 42-7.
Torie Lowe led the Chieftains with 26 points. Kalen Nickens added six points and Britnee Allerton four points.
Dowagiac also got two points each from Marcie Ennesser, Macy Howard and Kelsey Foote.
The Central Middle School seventh grade "B" girls' basketball team defeated St. Joe Upton on Thursday, 22-20.
Yasmine Chambliss scored 10 points to lead the Chieftains, who also got four points each from Leana Allen, Morgan Tanzillo and Keri Winters.
The eighth grade Orange and Black teams dropped a pair of games this week to Niles and St. Joe Upton.
No scores were given for the four games.
Playes singled out for their performances were:
Orange team – Linda Vela (Niles) and Becca Mattix (St. Joe)
Black team – Shelby Willis (Niles) and Kayleigh Hutchins (St. Joe)
The junior high girls basketball teams travel to South Haven on Monday. The seventh grade will play first at 4 p.m. followed by the eighth grade.
