Bobcat golfer takes second

Brandywine's Cody Miller shot a 38 Thursday at the Lakeland Conference meet at Berrien Springs, good enough to tie for second place individually.
Coloma's James Bradshaw took medalist honors by shooting a 2-under-par 33.
The Bobcats finished fifth at the meet with a team total of 171. Buchanan shot 168 to finish fourth.
Also for Brandywine, Joe Sobiereiski shot a 41, Chris Rose and Jesse Daniels shot 50s and Billy McDonald shot a 52.
The Bucks were led by Andrew Colip and Brian Lambke, who both shot 40s.
Nathan Layher was next for Buchanan with a 42. John Mondschein was next with a 48, followed by Adam Houin's 54.
Coloma won the event with a team total of 157. Edwardsburg was second and Bridgman took third.
Rounding out the meet were sixth-place Berrien Springs with a total of 172, seventh-place Cassopolis with a score of 175, and eighth-place River Valley with a total of 180.
Coloma extended its conference lead to five points over second place Edwardsburg.
Buchanan sits in third place overall, ten points back. Brandywine is in sixth place in the Lakeland.
