Dowagiac edged Parchment and Edwardsburg Wednesday afternoon at a non-conference golf match hosted by the Eddies at Hampshire Country Club.
The Chieftains (3-1) shot 171 to best Parchment by four strokes and Edwardsburg by five strokes.
Parchment shot 175 and Edwardsburg 176.
David Maxey led Dowagiac with a round of 39.
The Chieftains also got a 46 from Ken Scott, a 45 from Scott Wilkinson and Adam Carlson, a 42 from Craig Schuur and a 47 from Kevin Proshwitz.
Edwardsburg was led by Jesse Johnson's 40. Ryan Stoneburner shot 43 with Khris Merrill shooting 48, James Hentz shooting 46, Ryan Morrell Peters shooting 47 and Tanner Leininger shooting 47.
Dowagiac returns to action on Saturday at it competes in the Schoolcraft Invitational beginning at 1:15 p.m.
