Bucks finish fifth, Bobcats sixth at JV meet

Although Buchanan finished fifth a Monday's Lakeland Conference junior varsity Jamboree in Edwardsburg, Bucks' freshman John Mondschein earned medalist honors by shooting a 45.
Buchanan finished with a team total of 220. Bridgman won the meet with a 196, followed by River Valley at 205 and Coloma with 218. Host Edwardsburg took fourth place with a total of 219.
For the Bucks, Adam Houin shot a 53, Woody Woodrick shot a 60, T.J. Spurr shot a 62, Matt Stover shot a 64 and John Blaylock shot a 67.
Brandywine finished sixth at the jamboree, with a team total of 223. The Bobcats were led by Chris Rose, who shot 51. Billy McDonald shot a 54 for Brandywine, Justin Carter shot a 58, Jesse Daniels shot a 60 and Shane Bankston shot a 61.
Buchanan's varsity golfers host a conference match today at Brookwood Golf Course. The meet is set to tee off at 4 p.m.
