Brandywine tennis keeps winning

Brandywine's girls tennis team remained undefeated in dual meets with an 8-0 victory over Schoolcraft on Wednesday.
The sweep was the Bobcats' fourth straight 8-0 victory and ran their record to 5-0. Brandywine lost just one set in beating Schoolcraft.
Jenny Zellman of Brandywine started things off by beating Schoolcraft's Amy Bronkema at No. 1 singles. Zellman lost the first set 7-6, but stormed back to win 6-4, 6-3 in sets two and three to take the flight.
At No. 2 singles, Brandywine's Jenny Cowen took a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Christine Candaleria of Schoolcraft.
Amy Konopinski at No. 3 singles won the quickest of the Brandywine singles players, beating Emily Berger 6-1, 6-1.
Rounding out singles play was Amber Valentine at No. 4 with a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Kelly Frey.
The Bobcats' doubles teams won by greaters margins than the singles.
Leading the way in doubles were Brandywine's No. 1 team of Bethany Daniel and Christine Dvorak and No. 4 team of Ashley Valentine and Jamie Bartuska. Both doubles teams won their matches 6-1, 6-0.
At No. 2 doubles, Lisa Konopinski and Kristin Peters took a 6-2, 6-1 victory for the Bobcats over Schoolcraft's 6-2, 6-1.
Nikki Cooper and Courtnay Schlutt won 6-4, 6-3 at No. 3 doubles for Brandywine.
The Bobcats head to Paw Paw today to make up the Aug. 25 match that was delayed by rain.
