CASSOPOLIS - In a short meeting Monday evening of the Cassopolis Public Schools board of Education, the hiring of Kimmy Trujillo, as the new technology director was approved.
She is the wife of the new superintendent, William Trujillo, who was not on the selection committee.
The board accepted a donation of $1,675 from the Cass County Youth Committee to fund the District's kick-off of the Respect and Protect Campaign.
School started in Cassopolis on Tuesday. Wednesday morning was to be the fist day of the new delayed start.
Tonight, Thursday, Aug. 26 is an open house at Sam Adams Elementary School from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The open house at Squires Elementary was held on Monday evening.
On Monday, Aug. 30, there will be an open house at Ross Beatty Jr./Sr. High School from 6 to 8 p.m.
The School board will meet on Monday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m. at the Red Brick Board Room.
