Dowagiac remains alive at Eaton Park

The Dowagiac All-Stars took another step towards winning a Minor League C championship in the Eaton Park Invitational on Thursday.
Dowagiac defeated South Haven, 14-4, to advance to the consolation bracket finals tonight at 5:30 against Niles F.O.P. The winner advances to Championship Saturday.
South Haven scored single runs in the first, but Dowagiac took a 2-1 lead with a pair of runs in the second.
Dowagiac increased its lead to 4-2 in the fourth and then exploded for five and six runs in the fifth and sixth innings.
Cal Cox had two hits and four RBIs to lead the All-Star team offensively.
Tyler Clark added a single, a triple and two RBIs, while Todd McIntyre had three hits and two RBIs.
Dowagiac also got two his from Mike Leiting and Casey Brandt.
