Dowagiac, Howard Township lose at Eaton Park tourney

ST. JOSEPH - The Dowagiac Little League All-Stars dropped a 10-1 decision to South Haven Wednesday night at the Eaton Park Invitational.
It was Dowagiac's second loss, bouncing them from the double-elimination tournament
Dowagiac managed just one hit in the Little League C Division contest.
South Haven managed eight hits off a pair of Dowagiac pitchers and took advantage of several errors.
Seth Engler worked the first three innings, allowing two earned runs on four hits with three strikeouts.
Justin Gordy worked the final two innings, allowing three earned runs on four hits with a strikeout.
Caleb Thompson and Aaron Krieger split the pitching duties for South Haven.
Darius Wilson had the lone hit for the Dowagiac All-Stars.
Josh Macyawski had two hits and drove in three runs to lead South Haven.

Ben Getz had two hits and Trey Casey a double as Howard Township fell to Coloma/Hagar in Minor League C play, 11-1.
Tyler Green had three hits and two RBIs to lead Coloma/Hagar.
In other games Wednesday night, Bloomingdale defeated Bridgman No. 2 in Minor League B action, 13-0.
New Prairie defeated Bridgman in Peanut League B action, 16-4.
Watervliet defeated Lawrence in Little League B action, 6-4.
Berrien Springs defeated Benton Harbor in Pony League A action, 15-5;
Watervliet defeated Springfield in Babe Ruth B action, 6-5.
Gull Lake defeated the Southwest Michigan Cobras in Babe Ruth A action, 6-5.
Howard Township No. 2 will face St. Joseph tonight in Peanut League play at 6 p.m.
