Borgess-Lee raises $7,500

Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital's inaugural Golf Outing was deemed a huge success Friday afternoon at Spruce Ridge Golf Club.
A total of 19 teams participated in the event. They helped raise approximately $7,500.
The Mashers took first place after recording a round of 13 under par. The team consisted of David Keyte of Portage, Sheldon Keyte of Portage, Mike Mason of Portage and Keith Mason of Pullman. Mike Mason doubled his pleasure as he also won the men's longest drive contest. The Mashers donated $100 of its first place prize money back to Borgess-Lee Memorial.
Finishing second were the team of Dick Carlson, Doug Ranchaert, Steve Carlson and Bob Birkholm with a score of six under par.
The women's longest drive winner was Jennifer Steinman. Winning the closest to the pin awards were Lisa Broderick for the women and Steve Carlson for the men.
