The 11-12 year old Niles Little League All-Stars face Three Rivers tonight at 6 p.m. in the District 15 Championship game at Schoolcraft.
Niles advanced to the championship game with a 4-0 victory over Three Rivers on Wednesday. Cameron Sly pitched a no-hitter in the victory. Kevin Gross broke a scoreless tie in the third inning with a two-run double scoring Ramone Brown and Sly. Dashaun Curtis and Sly scored insurance runs in the four and fifth innings.
The loss sent Three Rivers to the loser's bracket, where they defeated Coloma Thursday to set-up a rematch with Niles in the championship match. Niles hasn't lost in the double-elimination tournament. Should Three Rivers win tonight, a second championship game will be played at 11 a.m. Saturday at Schoolcraft.
