Cards win Cal Ripken tourney

The Cardinals completed the sweep of the Brandywine Cal Ripken Jr. Babe Ruth League Minor World Series Tuesday night with a 9-5 win over the Indians.
Buck Bourdon earned the victory on the mound for the Cardinals while Wes Radzikowski took the loss for the Indians.
The Cardinals took an early 2-0 lead after two and a half innings only to have the Indians take the lead with three runs in the bottom of the third.
The rally didn't last long, however, as the Cardinals scored seven times in the top of the fourth to put the game out of reach.
Brian Exner went 4-for-4 at the plate with four singles to lead the Cardinals.
David Tharp and Chris Nelson each hit two singles.
Evan Hartman and Alex Erwin each hit a pair of singles for the Indians.
Austin Searles added a double and Alex Brooks singled.
White Sox….9
Blue Jays….1
The White Sox tied the Minor League World Series at one game apiece with the victory Tuesday night.
The championship game will be played Thursday at 6 p.m.
The Sox scored two runs in the top of the first inning and never trailed. They added four runs in the third and three in the fifth.
Dennis Jordan went 3-for-3 at the plate with a double to lead the White Sox. Dalton Raymond and Austyn Barkman each went 3-for-3 and Cody Young added two singles.
Brandon Garrett and Blake Lerner each hit two singles to lead the Blue Jays.
Brock Hartline added a single.
Braves vs. Phillies
The second game of the Major League World Series was postponed due to late evening storms Tuesday.
The game will be played tonight at 6:30 p.m.
The Phillies won the first game of the best-of-three series.
