Linnen-Jeffries a successful event

Niles' Ben Landgraff captured the 17-18 year old division of the 31st annual Linnen-Jeffries Junior Golf Tournament held Friday at Hampshire Country Club.
Landgraff shot 74 to edge runner-up Nathan Hoff of South Bend, Ind, by a stroke.
David Maxey of Dowagiac and Nathan Saunders of St. Joseph tied for third with an 18-hole total of 78. Joseph Groot of South Bend finished third with a 79.
Scott Majerek of Niles won the 16-year-old division with a score o 80.
Steven Sexton of Granger, Ind. captured the 15-year-old division with a score of 82, while Kevin Proshwitz of Dowagiac won the 13-14 year old division with a score of 104.
Jillian Speece defeated her sister, Jacque, both of Granger, with a score of 78 to win the 15-18 year-old girl's division.
The 12 and under title went to Christopher Noble of Niles, who had a nine-hole total of 42.
A total of 28 golfers competed in the tournament.
