Edwardsburg wins baseball crown

The Edwardsburg varsity baseball team won its second straight Division 3 District Baseball championship on Saturday with a 15-0 win over Marcellus in Constantine.
The Eddies, who won their first district title since 1988 last year, defeated Schoolcraft in the semifinals, 7-3.
The Eddies advance to Saturday's regional tournament at Hartford High School.
The Eddies will face Kalamazoo Christian, the same team it faced in last year's first round of the regionals.
Gobles and Niles-Brandywine will square off in the other semifinal.
The Eddies and Comets will play at 10 a.m. with the Tigers and Bobcats playing at noon.
The championship game is scheduled for 2 p.m.
In the title game, Nate Peak earned the pitching victory, while Athony Peak led the team offensively with a pair of doubles.
In the opening game, Zach Rooney was the winning pitcher with relief help from Nate Peak in the seventh inning.
