Cassopolis Rangers fall in district play

The Cassopolis varsity baseball and softball teams were eliminated from Division 4 District Tournament competition on Saturday.
The Rangers were the host school for the second consecutive year.
Centreville defeated the varsity baseball team, 4-2, in the semifinals.
In the other semifinal, Colon blanked White Pigeon, 2-0.
In the championship game, Centreville nipped Colon, 8-5.
Jason Rietveld suffered the loss against Centreville.
The Rangers were no-hit in the semifinal contest.
Over at the softball diamond, the Lady Rangers fell to Centreville, 9-2.
In the other semifinal, Colon blanked White Pigeon, 4-0.
In the championship game, Colon blanked Centreville, 9-1 on a no-hitter.
Chaquitta Danzy took the loss for the Lady Rangers in the semifinals.
Cassopolis had two hits in the game.
