CASSOPOLIS -- The two new houses in the village, at 222 S. O'Keefe St. and 401 Harding St., will be open on Saturday and Sunday, June 5 and 6 for viewing by potential home owners.
Applications for purchasing the homes, for as little as $575 a month, will be available at the houses during the open house or by calling Community Housing Initiative (CHI) Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at 269-697-5490. Ask for "Sam."
The homes are appraised for over $90,000. The two story home on O'Keefe Street has one and a half baths. Hook-up for a washer and dryer are ready. The other appliances are all new. The home is carpeted and the lawn is in.
Payments are estimated at less than $600 with six percent interest rate, for 30 years with taxes included.
The homes are available to low income applicants.
