Junior golf tourneys set

The Optimist Junior World of Golf District Qualifying Tournament will be held Tuesday at Orchard Hills Country Club.
The tournament, which is for boys and girls ages 10-18, will begin with registration at 7:45 a.m. and costs $15 to register. Tee times will begin at 8 a.m.
The winners from each age group (10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-18) in this tournament will be sent to the State Tournament which will be held at El Dorado Golf Course in Mason on Wednesday, June 23 for boys and Thursday, June 24 for girls.
Entry fees to the District Tournament will be paid by the Berrien Springs, Niles and Three Oaks Optimist Clubs.
The winners of the District Tournament will be sent to the National Tournament at the PGA National Resort in West Palm Beach, Fla. Expenses will be paid by the Michigan District Optimists.

The 30th Annual Linnen-Jeffries Junior Golf Tournament is schedule for Friday, June 18, at Hampshire Country Club in Dowagiac.
The tournament is for boys and girls up to 18 years old and costs $10 per participant.
First and second place trophies will be awarded in each age group, as well as a travelling trophy to the tournament medalist.
