The summer concert series opens Thursday at th eRiverfront Park Amphitheater with the first concert of the Thursday Night Live series.
Time Travelers String Band will kick off the series, which continues through Sept. 9. All concerts start at 7:30 p.m. and end at 10 p.m.
Here is the complete schedule for this year's Thursday Night Live concert series.
JUNE 3 -- THE TIME TRAVELERS STRING BAND: This three piece string band plays Americana music and has a time machine named "Retro." "Retro" will take the audience back in time as the band plays the music of America's history.
JUNE 10 -- IRV CASS: On June 10 Elvis lives in Niles. Come see and hear one of the nation's top Elvis impersonators do the "must see" show of the summer.
JUNE 17 -- WILDCAT: Wildcat will be playing dance rock on June 17. At one time they were called "The Rivieras" and recorded the hit "California Sun" in the '60s.
JUNE 24 -- DEADWOOD: June 24 will be the third year in a row that Deadwood brings their Blugrass music to Niles from Three Rivers.
JULY 1 -- HIGH STREET: The Grateful Dead cover band High Street has reunited and will perform a rockin' show on July 1.
JULY 8 -- VAN DYKE REVUE: Rock 'n roll and dancing is what you'll get on July 8.
JULY 15 -- SOUL SHAKER: A local favorite for many years on the night club scene, they will rock the river side July 15.
JULY 22 -- WOOD 'N' NICKEL: Local boys that play bluegrass are what you get on July 22. The audience will be able to hear how classic rock n' roll can be converted into great bluegrass.
JULY 29 -- UNCLE DAD: This band is from Niles and South Bend and play classic rock n' roll like Clapton, Neil Young, and the Stones. They bring their rock entourage to downtown Niles on July 29.
AUGUST 5 -- RIVERFEST KING &QUEEN CONTEST FEATURING VAN DYKE REVUE: On August 5 they will open Niles Riverfest 2004 as the house band for the Ms. And Mr. Riverfest Contest
AUGUST 12 -- BOOGIEFOOT: On August 12 Boogiefoot brings country-rock to Niles in the fashion of Dylan, Stones and the Dead.
AUGUST 19 -- TWENTY-THREE: Niles' own Twenty-Three will perform traditional bluegrass like nobody can on August 12.
AUGUST 26 -- TIME TRAVELERS STRING BAND: An encore performance will be on August 26 for those that missed the June 3 show.
SEPTEMBER 2 -- JIM LEACH TRIO: Former members of The Renfro Band have created a new sound with guitar, bass and trumpet. Come on down and hear the new sound September 2.
SEPTEMBER 9 -- MICHIANA HYMN-TIME SINGERS: We will close out our summer concert series with a great bluegrass performance on September 9.
