Warren Watson, Jr. of the Niles Wrestling Club placed fourth in the Michigan State Freestlye wrestling championship finals last weekend.
To earn his place, Watson wrestled to a record of 3-2, including a one-point, last-second loss to the eventual state champion.
Watson has also been invited to try out for the USA wrestling Junior team, and will travel to Fargo, N.D., this summer for the camp and trials.
