NILES -- The Niles Community Schools Board of Education recently displayed its satisfaction with superintendent Doug Law in his annual performance review by giving him highly effective marks in all areas of the evaluation.
Law, whose current contract will expire at the end of next year, has recommended he receive no salary increase for the coming year and will soon begin discussion with the board on a new contract.
Law, who has been with Niles Community Schools for more than 30 years as a teacher, principal and now superintendent, said he was flattered that the board wants him to continue as Niles' superintendent.
Law's annual performance review included especially high marks in business and fiscal management, relationship with board and personal and professional qualities. He also received favorable marks in the evaluation's other areas of concern including management of public relations, staff personnel management, personal growth and self improvement.
