Brandywine soccer suffers one-goal loss to Paw Paw

The Brandywine varsity soccer team opened its season with a 2-1 loss at Paw Paw Tuesday night.
The host Redskins opened up a 1-0 lead in the first half when Claire Dulin scored in the 30th minute.
Brandywine then tied the game when Bethany Daniel scored off an assist from Stephanie Duckett in the 57th minute.
Paw Paw scored the go-ahead goal 10 minutes later when Amber Zerbel managed an unassisted score.
Paw Paw outshot the Bobcats 24-6 and Brandywine goalkeeper Judy Schlutt tallied 16 saves.
The Bobcats, now 0-1, will travel to Granger Christian Friday for a 5 p.m. non-conference contest.
