The University of Connecticut became the first school ever to win both the men's and women's National Collegiate Athletic Association basketball tournament in the same season Tuesday night.
The Connecticut women beat Tennessee 70-61 to claim their third straight national championship.
The Connecticut men beat Georgia Tech 82-73 Monday night to claim their second national title in the last five years.
This also marks the second straight season that the Big East Conference has swept both titles. Connecticut won the women's title in 2003 while Syracuse won the 2003 men's title.
