You have to feel for veteran drivers Rusty Wallace and Sterling Marlin.
Wallace is working on a three-year streak of no victories, while Marlin is working on a two-year streak.
Both looked like they had cars capable of winning on Sunday, but it was Kurt Busch who picked up his third straight victory in the Food City 500.
The "bull ring" called Bristol Motor Speedway lived up to its reputation. There was plenty of bumping and banging and tempers were short.
It was unfortunate for Wallace that the last of three caution flags in the final 35 laps came out when it did.
Wallace looked to be ready to overtake Busch when the race was red flagged (stopped) with six laps remaining.
Wallace never posted a serious challenge over the final two laps.
Busch seems to be the master of Bristol. He hung around the Top 10 most of the afternoon and then charged to the front in the latter stages of the event.
The veteran drivers kind of took it to the young guns on Sunday, but when the smoke cleared, Busch had the victory, while Matt Kenseth, Jamie McMurray and Ryan Newman all had Top 10 finishes.
Newman, who won yet another pole for Sunday's race, continues to struggle during races. Newman was a lap down and needed the "lucky dog" free pass to get back on the track.
If the "Rocket Man" can ever put together qualifying with a good race car on Sunday, watch out!
Now it's off to Texas Motor Speedway this Sunday for another exciting super speedway event.
Watch out for Terry and Bobby Labonte as they return to their home state.
