Cass County Democrats are hosting a roast for Cass County Commissioner Johnie Rodebush of Howard Township, Niles, from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, at Southwestern Michigan College's Mathews Conference Center East on SMC's Dowagiac campus.
The evening includes guest speakers and a buffet dinner provided by Kraus Family Catering of Edwardsburg.

Rodebush, a former president of the Michigan Association of Counties (MAC), has served on the Cass County Commission almost without interruption since its inception in 1969.
He was the board's chairman most recently in 2003.
