The Grand Valley State University baseball team has won four straight games to improve to 9-5 on the season.
Formore Dowagiac and Lake Michigan College standout Kyle Cox is a member of the Lakers.
Cox is 0-1 on the season with an ERA of 3.0. Cox has pitched six innings, allowing two earned runs on six hits.
EMU Softball
The Eastern Michigan University softball team won three out of four games on its recent swing through Indiana.
The Lady Eagles (8-8) split with Indiana University/Purdue University of Indianapolis and then swept Butler over the weekend.
Eastern is scheduled to play at Notre Dame on Saturday.
WMU Softball
The Western Michigan University softball team finished second at the IU Classic this past weekend in Bloomington, Ind.
The Lady Broncos (10-11) split on the final day of the tournament, beating Wright State University before falling to the host Hoosiers in the championship game.
Northwood Softball
Northwood University is currently 3-7 on the season.
Former Dowagiac standout Rachel Minikel is a member of the Northwood softball team.
Minikel, a freshman, is currently hitting .160.
