Driver thrown from vehicle in Cass

CASSOPOLIS -- Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports his office handled a personal-injury accident involving one car on Dailey Road, south of Beeson Street in LaGrange Township, at 7:20 a.m. Monday, March 8.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 21-year-old Brandon Ullery of South Bend, Ind., was traveling north on Dailey.
He ran off the roadway to the right, then overcorrected and caused the vehicle to overturn.
Ullery was ejected from the vehicle. He was airlifted to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo for treatment of his injuries.
He was not waring his seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Cassopolis Ambulance, Cassopolis Fire Department, Dowagiac Police Department and Dowagiac Ambulance assisted deputies at the scene.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
The accident remains under investigation.
