Three arrested from Eau Claire for marijuana

ST. JOSEPH -- Three Eau Claire residents were arrested Monday night by the Berrien County Sheriff's Office on drug charges.
At 8:15 p.m. March 1, the narcotics unit, assisted by the road patrol, arrested the trio for the alleged delivery of five pounds of marijuana.
Officers observed the suspects pull up to a pickup truck parked at a store at Napier and M-140 in Bainbridge Township.
The suspects then delivered five pounds of marijuana to the truck driver.
The suspects were then stopped and arrested after the delivery, according to Lt. Keith Hafer, who identified those arrested as:
Hafer reported Tuesday that officers later served a search warrant at a Cushing Road address in Pipestone Township to hunt for additional evidence.
In addition to the five pounds of marijuana seized during this delivery, officers also confiscated another five pounds of marijuana in Pipestone Township and 2 1/4 pounds of marijuana from a Bangor Township location in Van Buren County which they said also originated with these suspects.
In addition to the drugs, officers seized a 1992 Lincoln Continental and $1,170 cash under civil forfeiture.
