After discussing a possible timber sale for certain city-owned properties this year, the administration received a proposal from Tree Tech Forestry Consultants of Augusta.
This is the group retired Grounds Director Gary Carlile worked with to determine areas appropriate for timber management programs.
City Manager Bill Nelson said the proposal is "consistent with our price expectations for the work," so he intends to bring the issue to the March 8 council meeting for consideration.
