State Police seek suspect in weekend attempted abduction

NILES -- Michigan State Police are investigating an attempted abduction of a 15-year-old girl in the Niles area on Saturday evening.
Michigan State Police officials said the girl was walking in the area of 17th Street and Miller Drive when she was approached by the suspect in his vehicle.
The suspect asked the girl for directions and then attempted to force her into his vehicle.
The girl was able to struggle and run away, and the suspect left the area in his vehicle.
The vehicle is described as a newer, small, black or dark blue, four door car. It has no window tint and has "spinner" type rims.
The suspect is described as a black male, age 25 to 30, with a shaved head.
