The Niles Wrestling Club will begin its 2004 season with practice on Tuesday and Thursday nights at Niles High School, starting Tuesday, March 2, from 6-7:30.
Membership in the freestyle wrestling club is open to all area boys in grades kindergarten and up interested in learning about wrestling.
Competitions are sanctioned by the Michigan Wrestling Federation and are staged throughout the state each Saturday, but are optional. Wrestlers may go to as many or as few tournaments as they like.
Students in grades seven and up may begin when the middle school season is over.
High school age students are also welcome and also practice Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7:30-8:30.
Membership in the club costs $20, and wrestlers may sign up when they come to practice. Membership in the Michigan Wrestling Federation is $35, and may be purchased at tournament sites.

AYBT meeting
An American Youth Basketball Tour informational meeting will be held on Thursday, March 4, at 6 p.m. in the Niles High School Cafeteria.
American Youth Basketball Tour is a developmental summer basketball program for girls and boys currently in the grades 4-11.

Brawley Fish Fry
Niles Junior Baseball will be sponsoring a Brawley Family Fish Fry fundraiser on Friday, April 30, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Niles Eagles across from Riverfront Cafe in downtown Niles.
All you can eat fish, salads, rolls and desserts will be served.
Advanced tickets are available from any baseball player or by calling Molly Brawley at 683-0743.
All donated proceeds will be for the maintenance of Champ's Field and the Niles junior baseball league.
