The Cassopolis Rangers had just enough Wednesday night to knock off defending champion Decatur to win the Division 4 title at White Pigeon High School.
The Rangers easily defeated Marcellus in the opening round of the tournament, 50-21, and then edged Decatur in the championship match, 40-39.
After the teams traded forfeits at 103- and 112-pounds, Cassopolis reeled off four straight victories.
The Rangers got pins from John McCoy at 119-pounds, Zach Duebner at 125-pounds and Dustin Armstrong at 135-pounds.
At 130, Justin Tucker won by major decision with a 10-1 win over Zach Brizendine.
McCoy's pin of Roy Collins came in 2:18, while Duebner's pin of Diego Gasca took 1:55. Armstrong pinned Jose Armijo in 2:22.
Cassopolis sandwhiched a pin by Kenny Brown at 145-pounds between two Raider victories.
Brown pinned Daniel Bratcher in 3:22.
Decatur won four straight beginning at 152-pounds and four out of five matches through the heavyweight bout.
The Ranger's lone victory in that string came at 215 where John Solloway pinned Buck Mallory in 4:52.
The Rangers' other victory came at 103-pounds where Ashley McCoy received a forfeit.
The Rangers advanced to the Galien regional on Wednesday night to take on Watervliet in the opening round.
The Rangers will be joined there by district champions from Bangor, Watervliet and Galien.
