NILES -- Avid golf fans will want to get in on this deal.
The Niles High School golf team is selling tickets to the 2004 Buick Open, which will be held July 26-Aug. 1 at Warwick Hills Golf &Country Club in Grand Blanc, at a reduced rate as a fundraiser.
The tickets normally cost $28 in advance or $33 at the gate, but the Niles golfers are selling them for $20 apiece. For every ticket sold, the team receives $10 and the remaining proceeds go to Buick Open charities, after expenses.
Each ticket is good for a one-day admission to the event, which has raised more than $5.8 million for Michigan charities since 1982.
Anyone interested in purchasing tickets should contact any member of the Niles golf team, coach Gunder, or stop by the Niles Athletic Office at 1441 Eagle St., or call the office at 684-8683.
All checks should be made payable to Niles High School. Tickets will be available until May 21.
