Bobcats beat Eddies

Brandywine held off a comeback effort for a Lakeland Conference volleyball victory Wednesday night.
The Bobcats won the first two games, 15-12 and 17-15, before host Edwardsburg fought back for a pair of 15-11 victories to tie the match at two games apiece.
Brandywine regained the momentum, however, and hung on for a 15-12 victory to win the match.
Nikki Cooper led the Bobcats in digs and aces with 13 and four, respectively. She also had 11 kills and two blocks. Emily Whitney led the team in kills with 15 and had seven digs.
Bridgett Mitchell had 33 assists to go along with 10 digs. Katie Tuohy managed nine kills and a team-high four blocks. Kelli Zache helped out with sic kills and eight digs.
Jessica Rafalski led the Eddies with 12 kills and seven blocks. Kate Habicht paced the Edwardsburg defense with 29 digs in addition to her five kills.
Sarah Lange helped with eight kills, two blocks, four aces and 23 digs in addition to her 21 assists.
Brandywine hosts Niles Monday night in a non-conference showdown at 6 p.m.
