EDWARDSBURG -- The Coloma Comets handed Edwardsburg its first loss of the season in Lakeland Conference volleyball Monday night.
The Lady Comets defeated the Lady Eddies, 18-20, 15-13, 15-11 and 15-5.
Edwardsburg is now 17-6-6 on the season and 4-1 in the league.
Kate Habicht led the Lady Eddies with 21 kills, while Jessica Rafalski had 13.
Habicht also had 38 digs. Shana Stoops finished with 22 digs, while Shelley Roberts and Sarah Lange each had 18 digs.
Habicht also led the team in blocks with two.
Lange finished the night with 39 assists.
The Edwardsburg varsity volleyball team improved to 4-0 in the Lakeland Conference on Feb. 4 with a victory over Bridgman.
The Lady Eddies defeated the Lady Bees, 15-4, 15-4 and 15-9.
Sarah Lange led the way with 25 assists, 14 points, four aces, two kills and 12 digs. Shana Stoops added nine points, eight kills and 18 digs, while Jessica Rafalski finished with eight points, four aces, 10 kills, three blocks and five digs.
Shelly Roberts contributed seven points, two aces, three kills and five digs to the Edwardsburg totals. Kate Habicht finished with four points, one ace, five kills and 15 digs.
Cass volleyball
The Cassopolis varsity volleyball team was defeated by River Valley, 1-15, 9-15 and 6-15.
The junior varsity lost to the Lady Mustangs, 4-15, 15-13 and 9-15.
Little League sign-ups
Registration for the Cass Little League baseball and softball leagues will be held Wednesday, Feb. 18 from 2-8:30 p.m. at both Squires Elementary and Sam Adams Elementary.
A sign-up will be held on Feb. 19 from 1-6 p.m. at both schools.
A final sign-up with be held Feb. 27 from 6-8 p.m. at both Kulesia's and Ross Beatty High School.
