Berrien Springs wins Shoot Out

Berrien Springs captured the championship of the sixth annual Snowed Out Shoot Out hosted by the Dowagiac Rotary Club at Southwestern Michigan College.
Berrien Springs defeated Bangor in the championship game of the tournament on Sunday in the Zollar Sports Center, 65-41.
Lakeshore took third with a 38-23 victory over Marcellus, while Cassopolis finished fifth with a 55-43 win over Edwardsburg.
Dowagiac finished in seventh place with a 54-24 win over Watervliet.
Berrien Springs reached the championship game by beaten Dowagiac in the opening round, 50-33. Berrien Springs then defeated Lakeshore in the second round, 42-37.
Bangor reached the title tilt with a 47-38 victory over Cassopolis in the first round and a 42-25 victory over Marcellus in the second round.
Lakeshore defeated Edwardsburg in the first round, 53-23, while Marcellus defeated Watervliet, 43-27.
In the second round, Edwardsburg knocked off Dowagiac, 29-28, and Cassopolis defeated Watervliet, 50-10.
Dowagiac's Matt Klees, Edwardsburg's Travis Rooney, Marcellus' Caleb Reuter and Cassopolis' Lonnie Williams were all winners of the Good Hustle/Sportsmanship awards.
