The Ring Lardner eighth grade Blue basketball team finished an 11-1 season by winning the Bangor Eighth grade Basketball Tournament, 38-21 over the Bridgman Bees.
The Vikings trailed 13-10 at halftime, but turned up the defensive intensity and solved Bridgman's zone defense in the second half, outscoring the Bees 28-8.
Niles was led by Josh Beers with 15 points and got outstanding defensive efforts from Brandon Thomas, Demetrius Phillips, and Ben Brandstatter.
