LMC knocks off No. 14 Grand Rapids

The Lake Michigan College men's basketball team handed Grand Rapids Community College its third loss of the season and second in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association.
LMC improved to 11-8 and 4-3 with a 63-56 win Wednesday night in Grand Rapids. Grand Rapids, ranked No. 14 in the nation, slipped to 14-3 and 4-2.
Cassopolis graduate Anthony Curry paced the Indians with 13 points.
Niles graduates Desmond Favors and Adam Shepherdson added 12 and 11 points, respectively.Niles graduate Corey Thacker scored just three points but grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds. Favors also handed out four assists.
LMC returns to action Saturday at Ancilla.
