The Brandywine High School varsity basketball team is giving more than just gifts this holiday season.
The team spent part of their holiday vacation by visiting with residents of a local nursing home, West Woods of Niles, on Tuesday morning.
The students were happy to use their spare to time to bring smiles to the faces of the senior citizens.
This marks the second consecutive year that Sidenbender's team has visited the nursing home.
The students walked up and down the hallways and stopped in on residents to wish them happy holidays.
They would spend a few minutes in each room talking and sharing laughs with the residents.
Excited residents even approached the boys in the hallway to introduce themselves and tell them how happy they were that they came.
West Woods activities aide Lori King said that the residents really enjoy these types of visits from young people, especially around the holidays.
The basketball team even brought homemade cookies and a variety of fruit to give to the senior citizens.
