BUCHANAN -- After taking an early 13-0 lead after three matches, the Buchanan varsity wrestling team was given a reality check by Brandywine.
The visiting Bobcats went on a six-match, 28-0 run to take control of the contest on its way to a convincing 49-19 Lakeland Conference victory Wednesday night.
The Bucks finished with just four wins as Brandywine's experience proved too much for the young Buchanan squad. The Bobcats registered six pins in the final eight matches and won four more by decision.
Brandywine and Buchanan both return to action Saturday at the Sturgis Invitational.
