The Brandywine varsity wrestling team went 2-3 Saturday at the Vicksburg Invitational.
The Bobcats beat Vicksburg (57-30) and Mattawan (32-30 but lost to Three Rivers (44-23), Otsego (33-24) and Dowagiac (37-34).
The match with Dowagiac came down to the final bout as the Bobcats held a 33-31 lead heading into the 215-pound match.
Dowagiac's Matt Behnke needed just 42 seconds to pin Brandywine's Jeremy Hechtl and seal the victory for the Chieftains.
Brandywine returns to action Wednesday night in a Lakeland Conference dual match at Buchanan.
