Southwestern Michigan College will host the third annual Rotary Roundball Shoot Out junior high school girls' basketball tournament Nov. 15-16.
The tournament, co-sponsored by the Dowagiac Rotary Club and Southwestern Michigan College, will be held at the Zollar Sports Center on SMC's Dowagiac campus.
According to Ron Gunn, Director of Wellness Activities. "It is primarily aimed at eighth-grade teams but seventh-graders are welcome to compete. We'd like to see teams from both southwestern Michigan and north central Indiana"
According to Eileen Crouse, Executive Director of Community Service at SMC, "We're pleased to partner with the Dowagiac Rotary Club to provide this opportunity to area youth. SMC has hosted and will be hosting other community service events like this and look forward to future opportunities to partner with other clubs and organizations."
Each team is guaranteed three games. The entry fee is $100.
