Bucks hand Valley first Lakeland loss

Buchanan handed River Valley its first loss in Lakeland Conference play Tuesday night, beating the Mustangs 52-45 in Three Oaks.
The Bucks, now 7-6 overall and 5-3 in league play, were led by Sheena Bradshaw with 18 points including four 3-pointers. Ashlee Layher added 14 points and Ali Bender helped out with seven points and 11 rebounds.
The Mustangs, now 9-2 overall and 7-1 in the league, were led by Jenny Sanders with 15 points, Brittany Warren with 12 points and Megan Koebel with 10 points.
Buchanan is off until Thursday, Oct. 23, when it travels to Lawrence.
Buchanan is currently in third place in the league standings.
