Former Dowagiac standout Darcy Butts just recently completed here first marathon.
Butts ran Sunday in Detroit in the Detroit Free Press/Flag-star Bank Marathon that starts in Detroit outside of Comerica Park and crosses the Ambassador Bridge to Windsor, Canada, then back through the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel, around Belle Isle and finally ending up at Ford Field.
Butts finished in a time of 4:09:29.
Butts decided that she wanted to run a marathon, so this summer she entered a 5k and two 10k races and was also running in between.
